On 5th July 2025, As part of the Vanmahotsav celebrations, 23 students of 3rd B.Sc from the Agnes Towards Community initiative of St. Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, visited Government Higher primary School, Vidyanagar , Abbettu to promote environmental awareness and engage with school children through various activities. The program began with a prayer followed by the lighting of the lamp, officially inaugurating the event. The school principal and the staff extended a warm welcome to the visiting students. Various programs like action song, games were conducted for the children, which encouraged student participation and created a joyful atmosphere. As part of the Vanmahotsav celebration, saplings were planted in the school compound under the guidance of faculty member, Ms. Swathi. The school principal addressed the gathering, spoke about the significance of Vanmahotsav and shared insight thoughts on the need to protect and preserve nature. Her words were inspiring and added great value to the program. The event was successful and left a positive impact on the students and teachers. It was a valuable opportunity to spread environmental awareness and encourage young minds to be responsible citizens.
