The Department of Zoology organized a Model Design Competition on the theme “Life of Invertebrates” on 26 July 2025 with the objective of enhancing students understanding of invertebrate diversity through creative and experiential learning. The competition aimed to encourage innovation, scientific accuracy, and visual presentation while fostering interest in zoological concepts among students.
Ten groups of Students enthusiastically participated by designing and presenting models depicting various aspects of invertebrate life, including classification, morphology, life cycles, habitats, adaptations, and ecological importance of invertebrate groups such as Porifera, Cnidaria, Annelida, Arthropoda, Mollusca, and Echinodermata. The models were prepared using eco-friendly and low-cost materials, highlighting sustainability along with scientific creativity.
