The Placement and Career Guidance Cell organized a workshop titled “Craft Your Career: Resume & Interview Mastery for Postgraduate Students” on 25th July 2025 at A4 Avila Hall. The session was designed to equip students with essential employability skills and boost their confidence in navigating job applications and interviews.
The resource person for the workshop was Ms. Caroline Maria Pais, Life Skill Facilitator and Advocate. She conducted an insightful and interactive session, addressing crucial aspects of job preparation such as:
- Application Tracking System (ATS): Understanding how recruitment software screens resumes and learning strategies to enhance resume visibility.
- Standard Resume Drafting: Essential components of an effective resume and common pitfalls to avoid.
- Interview Etiquette: Professional conduct and behavior expected during interviews.
- Interview Skills: Techniques to respond confidently and make a strong impression on interviewers.
The workshop commenced with a warm welcome address by Mrs. Deeksha, Assistant Professor, Department of Secretarial Practice. Mrs. Prima Ferrao, Assistant Professor, Department of Health and Nutrition, introduced the speaker. An interactive Q&A session allowed students to clarify their doubts and gain deeper insights into resume building and interview preparation. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Krithika of II M.Com, who expressed gratitude on behalf of all participants.
